NQT training sessions
The HART Alliance NQT provision includes:
As an appropriate body we offer:
- Registration of the NQT for induction with the DfE
- Induction Tutor training - how to support your NQT, do's and don'ts
- NQT welcome meeting with expectations for the year ahead
- Collection and monitoring of termly assessment reports
- Named contact to give advice and support for vulnerable NQTs
- Telephone and email support for all parties involved in the NQT year
- Consultancy and expert guidance/ support on the induction framework
- Quality Assurance visits to ensure schools are meeting the needs of the NQTs
- Drawing on the recommendations of Headteacher/ Principals to make the final decisions as to whether or not the NQT’s performance against the teacher’s standards is satisfactory.
- Clarity of roles and responsibilities during the induction period.
As a teaching school alliance we provide the following NQT programme for 2018-19
6 half day sessions including:
- Pedagogy, Assessment for Learning across two sessions, Maths and Mastery, Keeping Children Safe and SEND
- Observation of outstanding practice
- Looking at research and what the evidence says
- Practical resources and examples
- Identifying next steps for NQTs in developing their own practice
- Support network
- Gap tasks
